Yes, we will be able to assist with your old furniture removals for a service fee. Generally, if the furniture you wish to dispose of does not need to be hacked from the ceilings or walls, we will be able to assist with your item removal with some important exceptions.
Disposal services are available for deliveries containing at least 1 new item delivered by “FortyTwo Delivery” only. If you did not order at least 1 new item to be delivered to you in the same “FortyTwo Delivery” trip, you will not be able to order disposal services individually.
The disposal services must be ordered together with the rest of the items you wish to purchase on FortyTwo. To start ordering disposal services on our website, visit the following page to view the types of disposal based on the size of the item, as well as the corresponding service fees: https://www.fortytwo.sg/fortytwo-disposal-service.html
Disposal services are charged on a per-item basis. For example, if you will like to dispose of 2 dining chairs, you should select “Medium” as the selection for “Item Size”, and enter “2” as the quantity, followed by clicking the “Add to Cart” button.
On the date of delivery for your order, our delivery team will assist you with the disposal of your old items based on the item size and quantity as indicated in the disposal service you have ordered.
However, when you order new mattresses from FortyTwo, we are able to provide a free disposal service for your old mattress on a one-to-one basis. If you ordered 1 new mattress and wish to dispose of 2 old mattresses, the disposal of the second old mattress will be chargeable. Please indicate that you will need free mattress disposal services in the last step of checkout. We regret that we will not be able to dispose of your old mattress unless you have indicated it while placing your order.
Please note that free bulky item disposal services from your Town Council may be available to you as a free alternative to our disposal services, and you may want to consider it first if you are currently living in HDB towns. You may contact your Town Council for their free bulky disposal service if you live in an area managed by the HDB.
Most Town Councils provide free disposal of the first three (3) moveable bulky items per month, with the exception of certain types of items. A fee will be chargeable by the Town Council for removal of additional items. It is highly recommended for you to inform your respective Town Council of your request 1 week in advance.
